Students were inspired by the setting they chose or invented for their adventure stories from writing class for this unit! They drew their setting in different layers to simulate a silhouetted skyline and picked a color that best represented the mood or vibe of their location. Then they used paint to mix tints for the different layers to demonstrate atmospheric perspective in their skyline. Watercolors were used to create the right weather backdrop for their setting and layers were arranged with small pieces of cardboard to form a stacked relief!
