Fourth grade is getting their hands dirty forming clay! After looking at some cultural influences in ceramic containers, students formed a pinch pot as their base then rolled and attached coils for the rest. Our challenge was to see how different our containers could look while all using coils!
Fourth graders selected or invented a location/city to inspire them. Then they used watercolors to create the right weather backdrop for their setting. They drew their setting in different layers to simulate a skyline on black paper and layered it on top of their weather for a silhouetted skyline.
